I have the honour to inform
Your Lordship that, on the receipt of Your Lordship's despatch of this series No.23 of the
19th. ulto., I addressed a note Verbale to the Imperial Ministry for Foreign affairs calling its attention to the circumstances connected with the
service of a process of
the Supreme Court
of Hongkong upon the Acting German Consul and expressing the hope of Her Majesty's Govt. that the Imperial Govt. would instruct the Consul in question to abstain from offering further Obstruction.
